Structure of the Planning Process and Planning Committees
Charge of Committee:
- Develop the master planning calendar (multi-year and annual planning time lines and coordinating activities for all related planning efforts)
- Analyze information (internal and external) for trends, issues, and implications—for both long range and short range planning
- Create the institutional education master plan including long range goals and short range objectives for 3-5 years
- Prioritize annual action steps (projects) to address objectives with available resources and appropriate time lines.
- Prioritize recommendations from the Planning Committees for annual budget cycle and 3-5 year objectives.
- Review progress toward the goals and objectives of the LBCC Educational Master Plan and adjust the plan as needed
- Evaluate results and annually revise goals/objectives
- Develop processes for involving the college community and informing them about the planning process and the plan.
